Q&A

Tenants Questions and Answers

HOW DOES THIS WORK?

This is a matching service. We endeavour to match rooms or properties to NHS staff and/or their families. It is a free service to register as a landlord or tenant.

ARE THERE COSTS FOR A TENANT?

Some options are being offered as traditional lets but others are being offered short term for a reduce rate or for free. We will try and let you know the Landlords financial requirements before we match you.

I AM LOOKING FOR SOMETHING LONGER TERM – CAN YOU HELP?

Yes, we have landlords offering rooms and properties for longer periods of times. We can also signpost you to traditional agents if need be.

WHAT AREAS DO YOU COVER?

Landlords have offered properties from all over the UK

WHAT DO WE NEED TO KNOW?

As much information as possible but mainly the following:

  • Where are you looking for accommodation?

  • How long for?

  • Is it for just yourself?

  • Furnished or Unfurnished?

  • Do you need parking?

  • How long are you willing to commute?

DO YOU CHECK THE LANDLORD?

We advise you check the landlords ID such as driving licence or passport to confirm they are the correct person. The landlord will also ask you for the same.

Please be advised  this is a free charitable service. If there are any issues, you will need to seek independent legal advice.

Landlords and Hosts Questions and Answers

HOW DOES THIS WORK?

This is a matching service. We endeavour to match rooms or properties to NHS staff and/or their families. It is a free service to register as a landlord or tenant.

HOW DO YOU VET APPLICANTS?

This is up to you. Landlords should  request applicants NHS ID card and cross check this with a driving licence or passport. We also suggest that you ask them to email you from their NHS / trust email account to verify they are an NHS employee. Most NHS staff only have access to their work email during work hours so you may have a delay. Once you have confirmed who they are you can use personal email if preferred.

I HAVE A TRADITIONAL LET THAT I CAN OFFER LONG TERM – WOULD YOU STILL BE INTERESTED

Yes, we are having requests for all different types of properties.

I NEED TO COVER SOME COSTS – CAN I DO THIS?

This will be via a private agreement between yourself and the tenant. Please let us know if you will require financial contributions so we can send you appropriate matches.
